In my work I want to encourage critical thinking, question the ordinary and the special and invite action in order to arrive at new questions, insights, designs and strategies. In this I do not shy away from the difficult question, the inconvenient, to update content and renew processes. I make a point out of drive and the belief that ownership of learning enhances the ability to learn.

I am a designer, a choreographer of learning. I like to design and facilitate learning spaces as a teacher but also as a sparring partner for management teams and curriculum committees. I add strategy and leadership to higher education. I am curious and somewhat obsessed with learning, especially when it comes to complexity-oriented learning and strengthening professional skills.

Education in Transition

In my book (in Dutch) I describe why complexity-oriented learning is necessary in times of transition and ‘knowmadic working’. I discribe how an open learning environment contributes to this learning, what roles teachers play in this and how learning arch design contribute to a shared visual language of learning that matters.

Het is een luchtig boek dat helpt om je gedachten als onderwijsvernieuwer te ordenen en het geeft je inspiratie en woorden bij onderwijs in transitie.
